The central theme of Eye On Palestine 2026 is Resistance. We reject deceptive neutrality and false equivalence, asserting that culture is a vital defense of the right to exist. The Palestinian struggle for liberation is a legitimate fight firmly grounded in international law, including UN Resolutions 3246 and 3743. Beyond legal standing, we recognize a fundamental moral duty to resist an occupation that sustains itself through systemic dehumanization and violence. This duty is made urgent by the genocide in Gaza and the systematic destruction expanding across the rest of Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Syria, a campaign characterized by relentless bombardment, the erasure of cultural heritage, and the targeted killing of journalists, medical staff, and aid workers.
To support this struggle, we strictly adhere to the cultural boycott, refusing to facilitate artwashing, normalization, or co-existence projects that ignore asymmetrical power relations. Eye On Palestine acts as a learning platform for our partners to implement these ethical standards throughout their organizations, ensuring political integrity remains our highest priority. By centering the narratives of Palestinian artists from both the homeland and the diaspora, our programming consciously amplifies the voices that challenge the imperialist status quo and the institutional silence sustaining the occupation.
