Ze woont in Jeru\u00adza\u00adlem en Berlijn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wildplukwandeling &amp; Ap\u00e9ro (16u30 \u2013 19u00)<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voorafgaand aan de film kun je deelnemen aan een wildplukwandeling en ap\u00e9ro in Gent. Net als in de film <em>Foragers<\/em> ontdekken we hoe wildplukken een daad van verzet en verbinding met onze omgeving kan zijn. The restrictions prohibit the collection of the artichoke-like \u2019akkoub and\u202fza\u2019atar\u202f(thyme), and have resulted in fines and trials for hundreds caught collecting these native plants. For Palestinians, these laws constitute an ecological veil for legislation that further disposses them from their land while the occupation&#8217;s state representatives insist on their scientific expertise and duty to protect. Following the plants from the wild to the kitchen, from the chases between the foragers and the nature patrol, to courtroom defenses, <em>Foragers<\/em> captures the joy and knowledge embodied in these traditions alongside their resilience to the prohibitive law. By reframing the terms and constraints of preservation, the film raises questions around the politics of extinction, namely who determines what is made extinct and what gets to live on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Foraging Walk &amp; Ap\u00e9ro (4:30 PM \u2013 7:00 PM)<\/strong> Prior to the screening, join us for a foraging walk and ap\u00e9ro in Ghent. Reflecting the themes of the film <em>Foragers<\/em>, we explore how foraging serves as an act of resistance and a way to reconnect with our environment.
