Het is&nbsp;de slotavond van het Gentse multidisciplinaire Eye On Palestine kunstenfestival (23.04&nbsp;t\/m 30.05.26&nbsp;&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/eyeonpalestine.be\/index.php\/events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bekijk het volledige programma<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De schrijnende situatie in Gaza, waar burgers nog steeds&nbsp;lijden onder het conflict, vraagt blijvende aandacht en&nbsp;actie van ons allemaal. Met de ontwikkelingen in Iran en Libanon reikt het gesprek bovendien verder, <strong>naar wat er gebeurt en wat we kunnen doen<\/strong>. Eye On Palestine koppelt deze vragen aan kunstinterventies, debatten en lezingen. Voor dit ingetogen slotevent slaan Ha Concerts, VIERNULVIER en tal van partners de handen in elkaar.<br><br>De opbrengst&nbsp;gaat naar <a href=\"https:\/\/gascf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Ghassan Abu Sittah Children&#8217;s Fund<\/a>, dat onmisbare hulp verleent aan&nbsp;kinderen en families ter plaatse. Kom dus in grote getalen, neem deel aan het gesprek&nbsp;en draag je steen bij.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Line-up<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wajdi Riahi &#8211; opening act<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De Tunesische pianist Wajdi Riahi beweegt zich op het snijvlak van jazz en klassieke muziek. Ook zijn achtergrond in Arabische muziek geeft zijn spel een eigen kleur. Met zijn trio verkent hij de raakvlakken tussen jazz, Gnawa- en Stambeli-muziek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voor dit solorecital brengt hij de vele invloeden samen die zijn persoonlijke stijl hebben gevormd, gekenmerkt door gevoeligheid en emotionele diepgang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kamilya Jubran<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De Palestijnse artieste Kamilya Jubran is onlosmakelijk verbonden met haar context. Al veertig jaar verenigt ze muziek en verzet in een carri\u00e8re die zich moeilijk laat vastpinnen. Po\u00ebzie, emotie en politiek engagement komen samen in een artistiek universum waar grenzen tussen cultuur, politiek en genres vervagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bovenal is ze een verhalenverteller. Met haar soepele, vaak uitdagende stem en haar virtuoze spel op de oud (Arabische luit) belichaamt ze elke tekst met grote intensiteit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cMy questioning about the components, the relationship between oud and voice, the&nbsp;atmosphere and the role of the song I sing multiplies and intensifies.
