In 2011 publiceerde Andrew Feinstein zijn boek ‘The Shadow World: Inside the Global Arms Trade’. In zijn boek onthult hij dat de wapenhandel zeer nauw verbonden is met de mechanismen van de overheid. De defensiefabrikanten, degenen die de wapens maken, zijn nauw verbonden met regeringen, legers, inlichtingendiensten en vooral met politieke partijen. Van het boek is een documentaire gemaakt, ‘Shadow World’ (2016), geregisseerd door de Belg Johan Grimonprez die onlangs ook ‘Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat’ maakte.
